Purpose for the Job

To efficiently manage the claims process under Group Credit, Group Life and Group Personal Accident / WIBA.

Duties and Responsiblities

  • Ensure strict adherence to claims process under ISO standard operating procedures.
  • Constant monitoring and evaluating the claims process to maintain highest standards.
  • Follow up on documentation for all claims under the policy.
  • Follow up on claims and ensure payment is done within stipulated SLA timelines.
  • Monitor claim payments and generate various reports.
  • Respond to client’s enquiries effectively and make sure resolution of all issues raised.
  • Follow up with Insurer for preparation of Discharge Vouchers and Payment of due claims.
  • Verify and ensure that all the accompanying documents for Life claims are attached and forwarded to Insurer for payment within 1 day of receipt.
  • Ensure clients are served timely, sufficiently and effectively i.e. on phone, emails, letters and walk-in clients.
  • Maintain an updated Global Claims register at all times.

  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relations.
  • Effective organizational skills, including the ability to multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneously, and adaptability to changing priorities to meet business demands.

Professional and Academic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business-related field.
  • Diploma in Insurance / ACII.
  • 2 years’ relevant experience.
