FOOD & BEVERAGE COST CONTROLLER

Role Overview:

We are seeking a proactive and analyticalFood and Beverage Cost Controller (Contract Position) to support the financial health of our culinary operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for tracking, analyzing, and optimizing all food and beverage costs, ensuring budgetary discipline, and supporting pricing strategies while maintaining the highest standards of accuracy and compliance.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Monitor and analyze daily F&B costs and recommend cost-saving initiatives.
  • Collaborate with the kitchen and service teams to ensure portion control, waste reduction, and optimal resource use.
  • Conduct inventory checks and stock audits regularly to ensure accurate reporting and loss prevention.
  • Develop and maintain cost control systems, reports, and procedures aligned with hotel goals.
  • Review supplier invoices, purchase orders, and delivery notes to verify pricing and quantity.
  • Support the menu pricing process with detailed cost analysis and market comparisons.
  • Coordinate with finance, procurement, and department heads to ensure efficient budget management.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, food safety standards, and financial policies.

Requirements

  • At least three (3) to five (5) years of experience in a cost control or financial role within the hospitality industry.
  • A Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Finance, Accounting, Hospitality Management, or a related field from a recognized institution.
  • Strong understanding of F&B operations, inventory systems, and financial reporting.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, POS systems, and accounting software.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail in record-keeping and reporting.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
