Deputy Project Manager

Responsibilities

 

 

  • Managing the projects closely with the project manager and the Company’s senior management to oversee progress and ensure the project’s goals are met
  • Develop project plans to ensure quality, safety, health, and environmental standards are met;manage the project schedule to meet client expectations; control project costs to stay within theallocated budget.
  • Determine the scope of work for internal execution, estimate costs, propose potential partners, jointventure plans, subcontractors, and suppliers; ensure the project is executed within the budget usinginternal and external resources.
  • Establish a project documentation management system to ensure the project is executed on timeand meets the project standards.
  • Lead and oversee technical evaluations of project construction plans to ensure feasibility, safety, andefficiency.
  • Coordinate information exchange between the company, client, internal project team, and variousstakeholders (subcontractors, authorities).
  • Interface with clients, partners, subcontractors, suppliers, and regulatory bodies to resolve project related issues while ensuring the company’s interests.
  • Effectively manage the resources (personnel, equipment, marine assets) allocated to the project. Ensuring to keep project team on focus to execute contractual scope and following required management of change procedure as may be required
  • Establish reporting systems and regular meetings (weekly, monthly) according to project and seniormanagement requirements.
  • Manage project risk using tools to identify and assess risks/opportunities and resolve issues promptly toensure the project timeline is unaffected.
  • Collect data, maintain records, and report on project status;ensure proper progress handover and reporting of materials and equipment upon projectcompletion.
    • Maintain and build relationships with clients, partners, and internal project teams.
    • Chairing all site project meetings with assistance from the Project Engineer and other site management team members
    • Monitoring project progress and preparing reports for the Project Manager
    • Promptly identifying potential project issues and proposing solutions for them to the project manager
    • Regularly evaluating project performance and ensuring all project KPIs (safety, cost, quality and schedule) are met and exceeded.

Requirement

 

 

  • Candidates should possess a B.Eng, or MEng qualification with 5 – 10 years of work experience.
