Food and Beverage Supervisor

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Allocate workstations and oversee meal service setups.
  • Lead shift briefings on guest feedback, staff, VIPs, and hotel updates.
  • Maintain grooming, hygiene, and uniform standards.
  • Ensure clean, organized dining and service areas.
  • Report maintenance issues promptly.
  • Manage inventory, cash floats, duty rosters, and attendance records.
  • Motivate, guide, and counsel team members.
  • Provide performance feedback and identify training needs.
  • Support staff appraisals and recognition programs.
  • Foster teamwork and resolve conflicts.
  • Train staff on brand and service standards.
  • Conduct brief training sessions to address service gaps.
  • Enforce SOP compliance and report misconduct.
  • Track equipment, breakages, and resource usage.
  • Authorize bill changes in Manager’s absence with proper records. Coordinate with kitchen, front desk, and housekeeping.
  • Maintain clear and accurate communication across departments.

Qualification and Experience

  • Diploma in Hospitality Management or equivalent qualification.
  • 2–3 years of supervisory experience in Food & Beverage within a reputable hotel.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and team coordination skills.
  • Solid understanding of F&B operations and guest service standards.
  • Familiarity with POS systems and hotel billing procedures.

Assistant Executive Housekeeper, (two positions)

We are currently looking to recruit an Assistant Executive Housekeeper, [two positions] to work at Taita Hills & Salt Lick Wildlife Resort Ltd.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Manage daily room status updates via Opera (departures, arrivals, early check-ins)
  • Review evening reports and lead team briefings
  • Allocate rooms and tasks to stewards based on occupancy
  • Enforce DND policy; ensure VIP/show rooms are ready by 10:00 AM
  • Generate and reconcile room discrepancy reports
  • Supervise staff attendance, grooming, and shift readiness
  • Monitor cleaning supply inventory and equipment usage/maintenance
  • Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms and public areas
  • Ensure cleanliness and safety standards are consistently met
  • Conduct performance appraisals and identify training needs
  • Manage staff motivation, discipline, and recognition
  • Participate in stock-taking and reporting
  • Uphold Taita Hills & Salt Lick’s core values, standards, and safety policies
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Executive Housekeeper

Qualification and Experience

  • A diploma or higher in Housekeeping or Hospitality Management
  • At least 3 years of experience as an assistant housekeeper, ideally in a luxury hotel or lodge
  • Proficient in Opera PMS and MS Office applications
  • Exceptional organizational and leadership abilities with a keen attention to detail
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated capability to manage and inspire teams

Reservation Assistant 

We are currently looking to recruit a Reservation Assistant, to work at Taita Hills & Salt Lick Wildlife Resort Ltd.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Handles reservations via phone, email, system referrals, and from internal departments or travel agents.
  • Maintains up-to-date knowledge of room types, layouts, availability, rates, packages, and hotel policies.
  • Creates, updates, and manages reservation records, confirmations, cancellations, and modifications.
  • Communicates reservation details and changes to the front desk and assists with preregistration when needed.
  • Processes and monitors advance deposits, tracks availability, and supports occupancy and revenue forecasting.
  • Manages daily correspondence, responds to inquiries, and keeps all files organized and current.
  • Maintains a professional appearance and work area; promotes a courteous and friendly environment.
  • Assists with front office duties and follows all health, safety, and fire procedures.
  • Accepts additional tasks as requested by management.
  • Preference: Ladies from Mombasa.

Qualification and Experience

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in the hospitality industry, with at least 1 year in a busy hotel’s reservations department.
  • Proficient in the Opera reservation system.
  • Well-spoken, well-groomed, and demonstrates excellent customer care and telephone etiquette.
  • Strong in sales and upselling, with attention to detail and good organizational skills. Flexible, adaptable, and a reliable team player.

Credit Controller 

We are currently looking to recruit a Credit Controller, to work at Taita Hills & Salt Lick Wildlife Resort Ltd.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Post daily revenues and generate revenue reports
  • Reconcile city ledger and process invoices via Opera
  • Send invoices to debtors and handle PM/staff account billing
  • Post WVAT and allocate payments on debtor accounts
  • Reconcile accounts and prepare/send statements to debtors
  • Handle debtor collections and generate ageing analysis
  • Revalue debtor balances and create A/R accounts with approval
  • Process credit notes and negotiate credit terms with debtors
  • Set credit limits and maintain debtor credit records
  • Resolve debtor issues and support revenue audits as needed

Qualification and Experience

  • CPA Section 3 to 6
  • 3–5 years of experience in the hospitality industry
  • Proficient in Opera and SUN System (Version 6)
  • Knowledge of revenue and income audits is an added advantage
  • Demonstrates a high level of integrity
  • Experienced in revenue audits and credit control, ensuring compliance,
  • reducing revenue leakage, and improving collection efficiency through data analysis and cross-functional teamwork.

HR Cordinator

We are currently looking to recruit a HR Cordinator, to work at Taita Hills & Salt Lick Wildlife Resort Ltd.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Ensure adherence to and continuous improvement of HR operational policies and processes
  • Assist with recruitment, performance management, staff discipline, and HR administration
  • Coordinate staff accommodation, facilities, and transport
  • Oversee cleanliness and comfort in employee accommodation, canteen, and restrooms
  • Promote good employee conduct and manage disciplinary procedures when needed
  • Ensure annual appraisals are completed, and follow up on development needs
  • Assist with communication of key messages to staff
  • Maintain confidential staff files, documents, and pay scale information
  • Manage payroll in line with budget guidelines
  • Promote employee communication channels and encourage feedback
  • Maintain positive relationships with staff representatives and resolve grievances
  • Assist in organizing employee events (staff meetings, parties, community service, etc.)
  • Support staffing and training needs to enhance operations

Qualification and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Higher Diploma in Human Resource Management or a related field
  • At least 3 years of experience in a similar role within a hotel setting
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proven leadership and team management abilities
  • Proficient in both oral and written English
  • Excellent computer skills (MS Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Member of the Institute of Human Resource Management (IHRM)
